This was the day I was expecting for although I am not an AIADMK supporter. The divide between the SUN network and DMK party has forced the DMK party to start a new channel called "Kalaingar TV"!!! A channel for every politician??!!! Viako TV, Thol Thiruma TV, Mama TV, Mami TV... list is endless... and its quite possible only in TN... Back to the point. The DMK and the SUN network have fought battles and even masterminded several attacks together. DMK plans... SUN implements. D. Maran was the representative for DMK in the central synonymous to M. Maran. But he is kicked out. The only educated think tank is now out. Kalaingar TV is for sure not going to get even a tithe of the TRP SUN has. What in the earth politicians are thinking?? Audiences watch TV to see the hazzles and leg pullings in politics. No they need entertainment, fun, comedy and most of all the soapy serials. Will Kalaingar write scrips and Stalin, Alagiri, Raja etc etc play cameo??? Will be fun to watch (just like the latest TR's release!!!)
What if the SUN network for some reason forms ally with AIADMK??? A 400 crore media industry can't be fought single handedly by this Kalaignar TV alone. Why dont these politicians think sense?? The entire south-Indian media is with SUN.

TV - sun, k tv, sun news, gemini, teja, surya, e-nadu, sun music etc.
PAPER - Kungumam, Dhinakaran.
FM - S fm, Surian fm (as far as I know).
DMK HAS:
Ting ting tiding.... Kalaingar TV....
DMK is ruining itself... AIADMK wear your brains out and plug the deal on your side. Its once in politics offer. DMK see you around the next elections.

You forgot the Kannda band of channels that SUN owns. Also, the shares of SUN TV is trading very well. Kalaignar TV in association with Raj TV will gain only less and SUN TV is not gonna lose much. The fact is that there is no political show running on SUN TV(may be yes in SUN NEWS). The good thing is that news in SUN NEWS will never be onesided. Lets keep pur fingers crossed to see what stance SUN NEWS takes!! i'm expecting a split in the party as soon as MK dies!!
gr8 blog!!and ur imagination of karunanithi writing scripts and aalagiri stalin actin..!! oh oh!! tat would be the end of the world :) .neways as unexpected the split was to me this sudden springing of kalaignar tv is equally shocking..this shows how much politicians depend on media for gaining popularity and support...now i wonder how we had gr8 politicians in the past when there was not much media hype....maybe kalaignar can wirte better mega serials...who knows???;)but is should say resignation of dayanithi maran is quite a bit loss to the currently Booming IT industry..but maybe something better awaits in the future..lets wait and c..

what u have said is 100% true.....
Kalaingar Tv is just an "Patthodu Padhinonu" in the List of Channels run by Politicians.....
The only negative/minus point of Sun Tv was the "impression" of it, in the mind of common man that its favouring/partial to DMK...
Now that single minus has also become a Plus for Suntv...:-)
Further I suppose all those(staffs) who shifted their camp from Suntv to kal.Tv would b regreting now...A good example is "Pepsi UMA" ...she was the 1st to realise her mistake...and im sure lot of the others will soon follow her...:-)
Pls keep updating us on this topic...Im Arun from Navi Mumbai....and a gr8 fan of Kalanidhi Maran....:)
